Delete Your Account
You can request permanent deletion of your Shadow Realms account and its associated data at any time, using either method below. There is no charge, and you do not need to be a paying player.
Option A — In the game (recommended)
Because you are already signed in, this automatically verifies that the account is yours, and it takes effect straight away without waiting for a reply from us.
- Open Shadow Realms and sign in.
- Open Settings (gear icon) → the Account tab.
- Under Danger Zone, tap ☠️ Delete My Account.
- Type your account username to confirm, then tap Delete Account.
You are signed out immediately. Your account is then permanently deleted after a 7-day grace period — if you change your mind, sign back in during that window and tap Cancel Deletion in the same place. Once the 7 days pass, the deletion runs automatically and cannot be reversed.
Option B — By email
If you can no longer sign in, email us from the email address on your account:
- To: shadowrealmsrpgsupport@gmail.com
- Subject: Delete my Shadow Realms account
- Include your in-game username. We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting.
What is deleted
When the deletion runs, we permanently remove your account and the data tied to it:
- Your account credentials — email address, username, and sign-in (including any Google sign-in link). The login itself stops existing.
- All characters and gameplay data — progress, levels, inventory, gear, gems, pets, cosmetics, and season records.
- Social data — clan membership, direct messages, referral links, blocks, and online-presence records.
- Your leaderboard and ranking entries, including Eternal and Dojo scores.
- Internal database backups containing your account are purged at the same time, rather than lingering until they expire.
If you lead a clan, leadership passes automatically to your longest-standing officer or member so the clan survives. A clan where you are the only member is disbanded.
Shared records: your name is removed, the event is not
Some records involve another player as well as you — a PvP match you fought, damage you dealt to a world boss, points you scored in a clan war. Deleting these outright would erase part of someone else's history, so instead we detach your identity from them: the record remains, but it is no longer linked to you or to any personal information, and you appear only as a removed player. The same applies to public chat messages, which stay in the channel but are no longer attributed to your account.
What we may keep
We retain a limited set of records only where the law or fraud/abuse prevention requires it:
- Payment records for any purchases, as required for tax and accounting. Card details are held by our payment processor (Stripe) and we never store full card numbers.
- Anti-abuse records (e.g. ban or moderation history) may be kept to protect the game and other players.
- A dated note that a deletion took place, which contains no name, email, or other personal detail.
These retained records are not used to rebuild your profile or to contact you.
How long it takes
Deletions requested in-game complete automatically 7 days after you request them. Requests made by email are completed within 30 days of us verifying that the account is yours. Deletion is permanent — once it runs, your progress cannot be restored, and buying a subscription again will not bring it back.
